Extending Bar

When i open outlook express all my options at the top (i.e Send and Receive, Delete etc) have been pressed up to only take about half the top of the screen up.

Can anyone tell me how to unpress them so that they are extended over the top of the bar, instead of taking only half of it.

Does anyone know of any diary i can use on the computer(not including Outlook)that will let me put appts in, remind of thing i have to do on a particular day, have all english hoildays in and i am able to put my holidays in, have a notepad etc.

I would also like to print out the appts etc if possible
