External Modem

Hi, does anybody know what this message means, the title bar reads OpenComm and the message is Port already open…ok. This is after I connect the modem and install it. I go and do a diagnostic test and I get that message. The last few times I woulddisconnect it and reboot then connect it again and it would come back but this time it’s not coming back! It is a US Robotics modem on Win2000 Professional. Any help is appreciated!
