I have tried this USB2 drive on a friends machine which is identical spec to mine and the drive works fine.
I also have an external Sony Dru500 DVD drive running under USB2 with no problems.
I have tried changing the motherboard and memory and also updated the bios but the problem persists.
I have also tried a different Hard drive in the USB2 case. Still no joy!
System spec as follows:
550 Watt PSU
Asus A7N8X Deluxe ver2
AMD XP2700 Processor
ATI Radeon 9700
512MB Corsair 3200 DDR
2 Maxtor 120GB Drives 8Mb Cache
DEvice manager shows no problems with IRQ’s Resources etc.
Can anyone help!
