Extremely high page file usage

Howdy all,
Tonight, when trying to start the old clunker, It is still taking over 1/2 hour to fully boot.
I am on the laptop right now.
When I could get the old one to load the task manager, I could see a page file usage of over 1.30 GIG and no cpu usage.. Zone alarm is still trying to start, and I dont have another firewall other than Microsoft to put in as a test.
Any suggestions?
