Ezi-Bios

by hereinoz . Updated 22 years, 8 months ago

Hi all,

I have an old 100 MHz machine with a 20Gb HDD with Ezi-Bios overlay software on it, installed by persons unknown so the old Motherboard can see the big drive.

The owner would love to re-install the OS (Windows 95) and clean up a very old and sluggish system, but of course, with Ezi-Bios, or, I think it is also called Ezi-Drive, no standard Windows or Dos system will recognise it. I can’t format it, and even if I could, I would still have the problem of the motherboard not recognising the drive – bigger than 8Gb.

It would appear as though I need the Ezi-Drive floppies or CD to perform this whole thing, but never having used Ezi-Drive, I am a little unsure.

Has anybody got any clues as to what I may be able to do?

I look forward to hearing from you, before I admit defeat and hand the thing back as is.

Cheers,

Alan
