Failed BIOS Flash

I support several Toshiba Tecra 8000 laptops. Recently I found it necessary to flash the BIOS from version 7.x to 9.0. The flash failed and I cannot recover. I have tried installing w95, w2k, and XP, all with no luck. I tried the original recover cd with w95, and it formats the harddrive, but it fails at the w95 splash screen. I vaguely remember there is a jumper solution, but cannot remember enough to implement it.
Can anyone help?
