Fatal Excpt 0E @ 0028:C163DD4C

I have been getting this error for the last couple of weeks now. Seems to happen most often when I go to start Outlook Express.

The msg reads as follows: Fatal exception 0E @ 0028:C163DD4C in VXD MCSCAN32(01) + 000194BC. Upon pressing Enter the following is displayed.
Fatal Exception 0D @00246:013F47FB

This msg has occured several times has the offset different each time.

0028:C163EA2C
0028:C16442EC
0028:C16405DC

I had installed MSN Messenger but started getting lockups so I uninstalled it.

Any help would be appreciated.
