File Copying with Windows…

My question is in short “What should the expected copy rate (in Mbps) be with standard P.C. equipment and an up to date Windows OS?” I’m not looking for a technical formula, rather just a general “rule of thumb” transfer rate for “general” equipment.

LAN topology of 100/full duplex. Machines are everyday desktops.

How much would a clean but latent network segment have on the transfer? Example…Transfer 1 -100/full network, no errors and ~ 1 ms round trip. Transfer 2 – 100/full network, no errors and ~ 29 ms round trip.
