I just set up a wireless home network using a Linksys Cable/DSL wireless router. The network contains one desktop PC (which is connected via Ethernet to the router) and two notebook computers (which use Linksys wireless PC cards).
I can share my cable modem Internet connection just fine, but I have almost no networking experience, and I don’t know where to start in terms of being able to share files among these three computers without using Yahoo! briefcase or emailing the files back and forth.
Just to make things a little more interesting, the desktop runs on Windows 2000 Professional, while the laptops have Windows ME and Windows 98.
Just to be clear, I’ll be looking for some fairly detailed information (or a link to some fairly detailed information!) before I give up the 500 points. 🙂 Thanks in advance!
