File sharing works via ethernet cable connection but not wireless

I have home network of 2, and sometimes 3 computers. All work great, connect to the internet, etc. I share the printer and files. However, if I connect to the network with my laptop via wireless, I can no longer access the shared printer or files. I get messages like the network location is not accessible, check permissions, etc. I’ve confirmed that my wireless is connected to my own router and not someone else’s. All computers are on the same workgroup, etc. But I don’t understand why I can’t share files between a wired pc and a wireless one. Please help.
