Firewall blocking authentication to server – need help figuring out IP/port

by kidica . Updated 16 years, 4 months ago

My company has some strict rules governing security. They have blocked most ports in/out of our company. Now, I have been given the right to install an application called Pass4Sure. However, after installing the application, I am required to enter Order# & Serial#, but for some reason our firewall is blocking outbound communication.

I attempted to run wireshark on my local machine at home to test this, but I am lost with all the information displayed to me. I wouldn’t know where to start. When I pinged www.pass4sure.com, I got the address 213.175.212.160; however, I did not see this address on the destination/source address when running wireshark while “authenticating” my application. It does show up on ICMP.

Would anyone care to assist me on this? There are multiple users that are requesting this on their workstation.

Thank you in advance.
