First IT Manager Role

Hi,

Can anyone give me some advice on how to approach the following areas of being an new IT manager? These areas would be the most appropriate and advice would be appreciated:

– Staff management;
– Management politics;
– Taking compnay forward into e-commece;
– Initial first day activities / concerns.
