I have a client who just recently purchased herself a new XP laptop and works from home/road. With local admin rights, she installed Sonicwall’s SSL VPN (Remote Access) and got her to join the computer to her company’s xyz.com domain (fake).
The problem is that after the user restarts/log off her machine, the VPN connection terminates to her domain, and she cannot login into the domain since she doesn’t have cached credentials and/or domain is unavailable.
I have tried using the “dial-up” option at the logon prompt and use Sonicwall’s SSL VPN as the connection, but I don’t believe it was made for that. I’ve got her to ship off her computer to HQ where we will login with her user credentials and should cache her account.
Is there a workaround on setting up VPN users instead of shipping off the laptop to HQ?
Any help appreciated.
