Flashing screen cause/cure?

The requested URL /software/10707167/10707166/1174/sreng2.zipwas not found on this server.

On an earlier try I utilized ZDNet Alternatives box and downloaded. However, could not Install.

My screen began FLASHING spontaneosly/automatically. Could not stop it, other than by Shut Down.

I am on Dell Inspiron E1505 with Vista HP & IE7pro.

Will appreciate your info as to cause/cure.
