Hi guys, If anyone can help me,
I have a server with windows 2003 and I have a share folder that my users use,(the files are under one folder about 150,000 files), and I need to grant them all attributes on the files and folders but NOT to delete them.
When a user accidentally delete a file from the network it doesn’t go to the recycle bin.
If they do not tell me in a month period, I cannot recover them at all. Otherwise IF they tell me, I can recover them from a backup tape.
If I try from the advanced option of windows 2003, I have to deny them the delete and the delete subfolders attributes. With these options users cannot delete files but also they cannot rename them.
Any solutions?
P.S. a third party software is also accepted as a solution.
