We are a small library system, so our budget is what we currently have on hand 🙂
We have a Windows server 2003 box that has shared folders, handles Symantec, as well as is our DHCP server. Our computers are all wireless (except for a few wired computers left in the building). We don’t use different subnets or any domains or group policies, just some static IPs for in-house computers and DHCP for all outside devices brought in (this is done by reservations). We allow patrons to bring in their laptops and connect to our wireless access with a password.
What we want to do is have them have to accept our acceptable computer use policy page before they have internet access. Is there a way to do this with server 2003?
Also another option we are trying to do is to setup ZoneCD from publicip.net and when the computer boots it keeps saying “can’t continue booting no valid certificate.” We have followed the instructions, and since this is a free software download I don’t expect any company help. Any thoughts?
Or is there another solution? Like hotspot gateways (which cost at least $400 each from what I have seen)?
Thanks 🙂
