Formatting a character of a paragraph or chapter

I read an article here at TR about how to start a large first character of a paragraph of a chapter and word wrap text around it afterwards just like in some text books and novels. I copied it to my computer to use later – which is now- but must have deleted it. I have been combing through TR’s past Word blogs and am still unable to locate anything near what I need.
Is there anyone out here knowledgeable as to what I’m referring to and if so, would you please let me know?
