Situation: Home Networking on Windows XP. I have a wired main computer to a Linksys router. I have a wireless laptop. I have a wireless third computer. I have a workgroup set up. The main computer can see and access the laptop and the third computer. The laptop and third computer can see the entire workgroup. The laptop can not access the main computer or the third computer. The third computer can not access the main computer or the laptop. I can not print from the laptop or the third printer. The printer is wired to the main computer but has a network wirless card.
I can view the main computer from the third computer via Remote Desktop Connection from the laptop. This does not help me print documents from the laptop.
Things I have already tried:
*Firewall is off on all computers.
*Pinged my router. Good to go there
*changed the policy with GPEDIT.msc to included all network computers
*Made sure my wireless network is set to infastructure mode to configure the wireless network to communicate with a wired network
*I don’t believe I have any mapping setup or any bridges enabled
*I’ve made sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP are enabled
*my linksys system password jives with all the computers
*Of course file printing and sharing is turned on on all computers.
HELP! I know there has got to be some computer guru out there who knows how to show me the error of my ways.
