Gateway desktop stuck in hibernate

My Gateway desktop (circa 2002) that seems to be stuck in hibernate. The button on the tower is orange and does not respond to pressing and holding it down for a few seconds to turn it off. The disc drives do not open when the buttons are pressed and I do not hear any noises (fan or otherwise) coming from the tower. It worked fine the other day so I know it’s not the monitor. The only thing that I have done is completed some updates to Windows and Norton. Ever since then, it just has stopped working. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
