I’m new in network and server side. my company have IBM server (runnig in windows) and 25 pcs. I created a FTP server using a privete ip address (access lan only). now company want the FTP server as public, so company purchase some static ip address.
my problem is that how i configure FTP server with static ip. if it configured how lan user access internet?
lan ip range is 192.168.x.x, static ip is 111.x.x.x
i’m use a normal belking G router. current settings, router gateway is 192.168.x.x.
server have 2 lan port. i configured 1 port as static ip and 2nd port as private ip, and gave a static ip to the router. i can access FTP server as public and internet from server, but not from other pcs. problem faced to configure the gateway..? pls give me a solution….
