GPO’s

I have set up a GPO on the Everyone OU I created.
I just added two little things like a display message that says test and a login script that maps all the drive letters.
It will not work.
What are some things to check?
Where is it I give accessto the GPO.
I went to properties and security and gave access to the Domain users which is everyone. is there another spot?
