GPRS/EDGE configuration

by ft85 . Updated 15 years ago

Am Working in a Telecom Company ,we are ISP offering GPRS/EDGE , and soon we want to launch 3G , but now the problem is when we were on GPRS/EDGE , we had some challenges in terms of connectivity , investigations have been revealed that there is an unacceptably high packet losses between ZTE Router and our Company router, at about 50% higher resulting in a serious degraded Quality of service for GPRS . And my task is to make this problem resolved. Our current Architecture design is like this : Our GGSN is connected Via 2 firewalls/routers (which means one firewall is Provided by ZTE (the company which provided equipment for our Telecom Companies and another Provided by Our telecom Company for security Policies, my understanding is to have data throughput depends on
-data throughput of the SGSN/GGSN nodes.
-Bandwidth allocated for packet data
-Data throughput at the radio access network
-Uplink/Downlink radio network quality.

So all I need is to have the packet data core network reconfigured and optimized ahead of the 3G implementation. I will appreciate if anybody there suggests or help me how to go about this

Thanks In advance for your help .

Best regards
