Groupwise 5.5 on a Pocket PC

Our directors want to be able to access their Groupwise 5.5 email over the internet and pull it down to a Pocket PC, I have found software to do it – it is either very expensive or needs GroupWise 6.5 – is there another way, they would prefer to get the email on the handheld rather than webaccess so they can read it offline.
