Groupwise problem

We are running a mixed environment network with novell 5.1, GW5.5 and win2k clients.

Our problem is with the win2k clients running the groupwise client. we install it under the admin account on the workstation. However when a user logs on, groupwise creates an error and crashes. We can solve it by allowing the user admin rights and re-installing the client, but surely there must be another way of solving this? Please help
