Groupwise problems with SFT III

We recently installed a pair of SFT III servers and now are haveing problems with our message server which is on a third server.
The error message in the message server is “I/O error while scanning input queue”.

If we disable SFT III and run only a singel server at that site Groupwise works fine. Any ideas?
