Hacking printer network

Dear Techrepublic,
We know many office now use the network printer for the efficienly printing use, and also the network printer has an IP address. I just want to know, can hackers or crackers attack the network from network printer? and get the data from server or PC user when they can get through the network security? And how much the posibility ?
