hard disk failure

My hard disk fail and I’m tring to recover the data inside by putting this drive as slave and access it from win2k server ntfs partion but no luck until now , i search for utility to recover data but i don’t know which it’s better.
can any one tellme how to recover the data from dead drive (not booting) in nt 4.0 enviroment ntfs partition
