Hard disk recovery ultimate solution

I am in the awful situation to have to move the platters from one bad hard to another new (same model: Quantum lct20 30 MB) in order to recover the data.Please someone with experience in such a thing to explain me the steps i should follow. In a document “200 ways to revive a hard”or something like that someone called Ben Hardman wrote he did something like that ..
