Hello –
I am installing a new hard drive as my old one (1 1/2 years old) HP PC died.
I purchased an 80 Gig Drive and was successful partially at installing it. It seems I did ok w/ the jumper settings and the physical part of putting it in the tower and my Bios does recognize it.
However my system was running Win ME and I am wondering if I should install Win 2000 instead or possibly both? I use Win 2000 at work and it seems to crash next to never.
I popped in the disk that came with it and once I got to FDISK I was stuck.
HOW DO YOU AND IN WHAT SIZES DO I MAKE DOS DRIVES? PARTITIONS? LOGICAL AND EXTENDED DRIVES? SHALL I INSTALL TWO OS’s? Will my devices be compatible w/ both OS’s? Is their any reason I need both?Just 2000 I was thinking.
This is my first time doing this (as you can tell, I am lost). Please Techies throw me a friggin’ bone here.

Oh and do I need a Boot Disk? What files must in contain? I downloaded one for Win ME, and DOS, when I tried it, screen read missing NTLDR.
