Hello Everyone,
Not sure if this falls under hardware or software but here goes. I have XP loaded on my computer 40gb HDD, 512mb Ram, AMD 1.8 processor. When I installed XP the Bios reads the HDD as the C:drive but in XP it reads the HDD as F:drive. The HDD cable has a Zip disk attatched to it. I have checked twice to ensure that the HDD is set to Master and my friend has double checked me as well. When I originally installed XP I loaded Partition Magic and attempted to change the HDD to the C: but would not allow it.
Can anyone shed some light on this problem?? Also, if this problem is fixable can I change the drive letter to C: without an OS failure?? I may re-image the HDD anyway but I would like to know why this is happening so I may prevent it from happening again.
