HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE PROBLEMS?

1. I had ADAPTEC SCSI ADAPTER before and it said BIOS NOT INSTALLED, WITHOUT DEVICE INT13h i could not even see drive E;
2. Now i changed to SCSI HP6020 and PCI NCR 53C810 SCSI ADAPTER but i can not read or write into CDs. I insert and i get “PLEASE INSERT A DISK INTO DRIVE E:” message.
Am I missing some configuration?
