have to connect to server everytime i print

hi

we have a network printer hp laserjet1020.
the problem is in some of the computers not all.
the computers are in workgroup and all have xp.
one cannot print directly. one has to connect to the print server and open the printer everytime he prints.i mean one cannot print directly .
