Health Monitor – Low Disk Space WMI Properties

by bdunlop . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

I have a Windows 2003 SBS server. In the Health Monitor tool, when I open the properties of the Low Disk Space alert and view the available instances from the Details tab, the following are available:

_Total – LogicalDisk.Name=”_Total”
C: – LogicalDisk.Name=”C:”
F: – LogicalDisk.Name=”F:”
HarddiskVolume3 – LogicalDisk.Name=”HarddiskVolume3″

I think HarddiskVolume3 is the E: drive which I recently installed.

My questions are:
1) How do I verify HarddiskVolume3 refers to the E: drive?
2) Why is an alert being generated for this drive, when it is empty?
3) How do I rename the drive? (I have looked in WMI at the relevant key, but am not sure if it is safe to change it!)

Thanks very much in advance
