Help

My HP laptop crashed. Windows will not load giving the message missing or corrupt config file. When I put in the XP Pro disk it loads the setup files and then I get the blue screen of death. I tried to use BartPE but it tells me the config file is corrupt. I can not get into the recovery file off the XP Pro disk. Please help.
