Well it’s a simple question, for an expert but for me…
Any way, I am trying to learn linux, I am well established in the MS Operating Systems, however I just can’t figure out linux.
It’s all good and well for people to tell me “use it” but it doesn’t help me get an understanding of it.
I have a background in Windows and Ds that lets me know what is what how it works and how things interact. However these are things I need to know in Linux.
So….
Is there anyone out there whocan point me at a resource that will explain each component of the OS, how it all interacts and so forth.. EG. windows manager, Xservers, kernels and the rest??? how do all these things work together and what relies on what????
Any way, I said itwould be easy for an expert (but not a short answer unfortunatley).
