Help me convert. What do I need to set up a Linux server & network?

I’m jumping ship, converting, if you will. Where can I find resources to learn how to set up a Linux server and network? I have a couple of Linux distros that I am experimenting with (Ubuntu and Mandrake), but there are things I don’t understand. Where can I find what I need to know? Thanks in advance.
