We have a Novell 4.1 network running with mostly older workstations. Two new PCs, both Win 2000s, need to be added to the network. We checked out the Novell site and downloaded two Win 2000 clients (C483SP1e.exe and NC483sp1.exe). After having problems getting the actual client to load (we had to reinstall Win 2000 due to a HOST of dll errors), we have the client installed on the machine (we loaded both EXE files since the second one is supposed to fix a DNS problem with the first one). However, we cannot get the machine to recognize the tree.
We tried using the Network properties to check on the Client but it won’t recognize the network domain. We only have one server running so we only have the one tree and one domain. We havealready checked the network port and network cable and neither of these are bad. We seem to be going in circles on the Novell site trying to find a fix.
