Help – Where do I go from here?

I am looking for advice here. I have been working in a small school district for 5 years as the only tech. I have done everything from setting up servers and budgets to end user support. I have a masters in Ed Tech, am 47 and a female.
I am having trouble getting a new job. I think it is because I am not specialized enough to look the best on any particular job interview. I don’t feel I interview all that well, I get really nervous. I live in a small metropolitan area, but there are tech jobs available. I can get some certifications if necessary, what do you suggest?
