Help with Career Path

I will be attending college in the fall for Advanced Cisco Networking Technologies A.A.S.

I attended a university last year only to realize it was all programming based and I am more interested in the hardware side of things. Not to say I don’t mind a little software here and there.

My question is a degree in Advanced Cisco Networking Technologies hardware related? Also what can I expect to make with a associate degree in today’s market?
