HELP…partition table gone!

Is it possible to repair my partition table? I was copying to my hard drive when it (the hard drive) suddenly disappeared from windows. After checking the drive, the partition table looks like it no longer exists. Partition Magic sees a partition but reports it as unallocated. Is there a way to recover my data or manually repair it? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
