Recently, Microsoft announced the availability of HFNetChk, a tool that scans Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 systems and reports on installed and missing security patches.
This looks like a step in the right direction to help fellow system admins in keeping their servers up-to-date. Of course one should also subscribe to the various security-based email lists and apply the patches that are appropriate. However, has anyone had a chance to use this utility?
