hibernation problem

my windows was working fine but recently i am facing hibernation problems. When i hit hibernation button, the computer goes on hibernation…this is shown by the hibernation progress bar…but after i restart my pc back.. windows every time get restarted..so there was no hibernation it seems or is there any virus behind that..plz help me out…early answers will be highly appreciated.
