Home network consulting

Home networking seems to be getting pretty big. I’m thinking of starting a small business for installing home networks. It will be in the Bay Area, CA, so I think the demand is there. Here are a couple questions I have:

1. Is current home networking software too user friendly, meaning that there isn’t a real need for a “techie” to install it? or are there still a lot of home users that would be afraid of setting up this kind of stuff?

2. what would be the cheapest way to purchase the equipment and software I need to run this kind of business (e.g. will I need a reseller’s license)

3. have you heard of many businesses doing this providing this kind of service?

That’s it for now. I appreciate all of your comments!
