Home Network problem

I have 2 XP computers. The dell desktop I have will not allow me to browse its files, although I am able to connect to a printer that is connected to it. I disabled the firewall and made sure all the appropriate services are enabled. However, when I try browsing the computer it just the OK button fades out.
