Home network problems

Ok heres the skinny people. When i turn on my laptop it tells me that they are no wireless networks in range but the computer in my bedroom connects just fine and its wireless too and the laptop worked before it just up and quit connecting one day after i reset the router. The laptop is a acer aspire 3680 with windows xp installed on it and i have linksys wrt54g2 router. any help would greatly appreciated as i cant figure it out for the life of me.
