Home server connector software

Hi, I am using Windows Home Server which works very well. However, when I use the connector software to connect a computer to the server it comes up with a user name to connect with that is not the current, logged on, user name and this name does not appear in the list of windows users. I suspect it is how the machine was set-up in the first place and then the user name was altered. How to I get at this user name to change it?
