The first time I saw AI being used in cybersecurity, I was impressed by how quickly it detected anomalies that a human analyst might have missed. But then I came across a demo where the same AI techniques were being used by attackers to craft almost undetectable phishing emails. That’s when it hit me, this is a double-edged sword.
In my own experience, AI has made threat monitoring smoother, but I’ve also realized that the same power can be used to outsmart defenses. It feels like we’re in a constant race: defenders improve, attackers adapt, and the cycle keeps repeating.
It makes me wonder if AI tips the balance in favor of defense, or are we underestimating how fast cybercriminals are evolving with these tools?
