Iam a systems admin. We run active directory (Win. 2008)domain. At our branch the IT support officer is failing to logon to the Win XP Laptop as administrator of the domain so as to to be able to change i.p addreses to local LAN of the visiting manager from head office. Manager’s account is the only one which can logon. Apparently manager forgot password of the local Admin account. So the challenge is to logon with the accout that has admin rights to be able to cahange the I.Ps. My attempt was assign manager’s account admin rights temporarily such that after I.Ps have been assigned, i revoked but iam failing to do it. Security properties >Advanced Properties of the account on the domani server is not helping me out. Any one with a solution? Thank you all
