How can I bypass/remove Pointsec on an old laptop?

I purchased a computer (IBM thinkpad) from my former employer (Telenor). It has PointSec on it.
The PointSec login screen comes up before anything else, but I do not have the sign on for it to uninstall. I have tried to boot off a Win XP CD and reinstall Windows, but it does not recognize the hard drive. I have my username but not my password (and I can prove the laptop is mine).

can someone please help me bypassing pointsec or removing it? I have tried contacting my old employer, but I dont think they are supporting pointsec anymore…
