How can I configure QoS on Cisco 1841 router?

I have 2 cisco 1841 router connected with each other through VPN tunnel.
I would like to configure QoS on these routers, what are the basic steps I have to keep in mind as prerequisites?
I am totally fresh in QoS filed. Can you help me to configure the QoS?
